Behavior

Recommended for experienced dog handlers
Not good with ill-behave children
Diggers and chewers if bored
Not good with other dogs of the same sex or with cats

The Miniature Bull Terrier is stubborn, courageous, steadily built, strong, and highly spirited; not the best choice for a novice dog handler or an owner who is unable to provide him with the attention, exercise, and play time he demands.

AKC Standard says, "He is a sturdy chap, muscular, active, and full of fire but withal good tempered and amenable to discipline."

Mini Bulls love being surrounded by a fun-loving family willing to include him in all their activities. Though generally even-tempered, some lines are prone to fits of anger and won't tolerate being teased or pushed around by an unruly child. He's good with strangers but can be aggressive with dogs of the same sexual gender, and with cats.

He is a quick learner and responsible; with early training and socialization, and if properly respected, the Miniature Bull Terrier can be an energetic, fun-loving and obedient companion.
